Canadian Canoeing Weekends

  

This trip is for groups of 15 Friends only

We have deliberately not said to much about this trip, because it just involves canoeing, chilling and relaxing. This is just a very nice peaceful relaxing way to spend a weekend. The only schedule here is meeting at Ealing Common on Friday at 6:30pm, after that we just go with the

(Summer Only) This  trip is a mini adventure which involves carrying all equipment in our canoes and paddling down the Wye river for the entire weekend, we camp wild alongside the river. This means we do not use camp sites that have toilets and showers. The river Wye meanders through some of the best and most beautiful quiet country side that  Wales has to offer, the river is quite calm with a few grade 5 ripples, We take plenty of rest time and achieve about 35k`s during the weekend, the rivers slight current will help you a little. Canadian Canoes are very easy to handle with just a little instruction, so no worries if you have no experience. The Temperature of the river is very suitable for swimming in.  We own our boats and of of the best quality and new.
At night we sit around the camp fire and chill and generally get silly. We arrive at our destination at 3pm ish on Sunday. We arrive back in London Between 6-8pm. Everything is included, except 1 pub meal. We pull up alongside Hay on Wye for lunch, here you can also stock up on booze. Hay is a very pretty market town renowned for the amount of book shops.

                                                                

 

Warning for couples  This is not an ideal trip to patch up a relationship, sharing a canoe can test any couples tolerance for each other, so may I suggest that you go to Paris for the weekend instead, or rent a cosy cottage in the countryside, (we can help with that) otherwise if you are still in love, it would be great to meet you. This was born from experience.

Another warning   It is really not recommended that you bring anything electrical, phones, digital cameras etc. It is very difficult to keep them dry. We recommend water proof disposable cameras and leave your phone at home.

The food on this trip will be a lot better than you might expect, we cook sausages bacon and eggs for breakfast and a very good BBQ in the evenings. please tell us if you are a vege.

We also supply you with a waterproof canoe barrel to put your cloths and sleeping bag in.

Here is how it works: We meet at Ealing Common Tube station at 6:30 on Friday Evenings. We leave when every one arrives, there is no schedule on canoeing trips. but should arrive back in London about 7:30pm possibly later.

                                                                                              

If you wish to book Just phone us on 01874 636552 9am- 9pm  You can pay for your trip by cheque or credit card. All we ask for is a £70 deposit, which is returnable if at least 5 days notice is given. Deposits for groups of 4 or more can not be refunded at any time, but you can transfer the deposit to another date. Changing the names of your group is not a problem after the deposit has been paid.

The price of this trip is £165 which includes everything except 1 pub meal . You might want to eat before you get on the bus otherwise we do stop at the services en route where you can pick up a bite to eat. If you have any questions then please email us. Canoeing itinerary       

Meet at Ealing common at 6:30pm on Friday of your trip. There is only one exit, we will see you there.

Arrive at the River 10.30pm ish. then camp up.

Saturday Morning start canoeing.

lunch at Hay on Wye  (not included)

2nd camp

Finish Canoeing on Sunday afternoon. 2pm ish

Return to London between 8-9 pm.

Items too bring

Shorts & T-shirts, Flip flops/Thongs/jangles/slops, or whatever you want to call them Torch, Sleeping bag, warm clothing, Toiletries & towel. Swimmers, Sun block and hat.

We supply the transport, tents, sleeping mats, canoes and food.
